Art Spectacular at Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon - Springfield, Illinois 2026

The 21st-annual Art Spectacular at the Carillon is held outdoors on the lawn of the beautiful Botanical Garden at Washington Park in Springfield, IL, featuring up to 60 professional artists. Each artist displays original and limited edition artwork in a variety of media. The event includes patron bucks, demos, kids' art sale, kids' activities, music, silent auction, gift basket raffle, and food vendors. Artist awards total $1,300. Hours are Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4.

Only original work in design and concept by the artist is allowed and must be for sale. All fine art and fine craft will be accepted for jury. Artists are required to attend their booth and be present for all advertised hours. Booth spaces are 12'w x 12'd with approximately 3' between booths, and artists must supply their own white tent, frames, tables, chairs, weights, and other setup materials. Judging takes place Saturday morning starting at 9:00 a.m. based on originality, technical execution, overall quality and booth presentation.

Application fee is $35 through April 15, 2026, with a late fee of $85 after that date. Booth fees are $250 for standard 12x12 booths, $325 for corner/end booths, and $575 for 24x12 booths. Setup is Friday noon to 7:00 p.m., with gates closing at 7 p.m. Artists must be checked in by 8:00 a.m. Saturday and setup completed by 9:00 a.m. Art Spectacular is a fundraiser for the Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon, one of the largest and finest instruments in the world.
