Art Speaks

Art League RI, a non-profit membership organization, is accepting submissions for Art Speaks, a juried exhibition open to artists 18 years and older. All 2D and 3D media are eligible. Artwork previously exhibited with ALRI is not permitted; all work must be original and exhibition-ready to install with appropriate hardware.

Entry fees are $35 for non-members ($20 for members) for the first piece, with each additional piece $10 (up to 3 pieces total). A $10 media fee applies. Work samples may include up to 3 images, 3 audio files, and/or 3 video files (minimum 1 sample required). Maximum artwork size is 40" wide by 60" high including frame. 3D work must have an overall footprint of 40" x 60" or less with a weight limit of 100 lbs. Installation pieces and digital artwork must include detailed descriptions of technical requirements.

The exhibition runs May 10 – June 3, 2023 at Art League RI Gallery, 80 Fountain Street, Suite 107A, Pawtucket, RI 02860. A public reception and awards ceremony will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023. Juror David Allyn will select work by April 30, 2023, with artist notifications by April 26, 2023. Cash prizes include $500 (1st), $400 (2nd), and $200 (3rd). In-person artwork delivery is May 4-6, 2023 (by appointment). Shipped artwork must arrive by May 5, 2023 with a $15 handling fee per box. Artists will pick up work June 5-6, 2023 (by appointment). ALRI takes a 30% commission from member sales and 40% from non-member sales, with artists paid within 30 days after the exhibition closes. All artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit.
