Art & Soul

Art & Soul is a national juried exhibition open to all artists aged 18 or older residing in the US. The exhibition explores themes of music and art, two forms of artistry with a long and interwoven history. Artists are encouraged to explore inspiration by a piece of music, a style or era of favorite music, translation of music into a visual piece, or shared concepts such as rhythm, color, tone, and balance.

The exhibition will consider artworks in all mediums except video. Framed wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" x 48". All wall works on paper must be framed. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 32" x 32" x 60" or weigh more than 50 pounds. No ceiling-hung installations are possible. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed on the application. No reproductions or work previously exhibited at Webster Arts gallery will be accepted.

Entry fee is $25 for the first three images; a $5 media fee applies to each additional image up to 10 images total. Submit 3-10 JPEG digital images (1000-1920 pixels on longest side, 72 PPI, 5 MB maximum). Entry deadline: January 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Artists will be notified by email on January 10, 2025. Exhibition dates: February 7 - March 14, 2025. Opening reception: Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at Webster Arts Gallery, 2 Summit Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119. An independent juror will select work for inclusion and award cash prizes ($250 Best in Show, $100 Award of Excellence). Sales are encouraged, with Webster Arts receiving a 30% commission. Selected artwork must be shipped to or dropped off at Webster Arts by January 31, 2025. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and return postage.
