Art Saint Louis XXXIV, The Exhibition

Art Saint Louis XXXIV, The Exhibition is a juried exhibition featuring artworks in all themes, subjects, media, techniques, and styles. The exhibition is open to artists 21 years of age and older living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius. Artists must be residents of the St. Louis region/200-mile radius when the show begins on November 10, 2018, in order to submit work and participate if selected for exhibition.

Entry fees are $45.00 for non-members and $25.00 for Art Saint Louis members. Artists may submit 1-10 images and 0-5 videos (maximum 10 total samples). Artwork must be completed between 2015-2018 and not previously exhibited in any juried exhibit in the St. Louis region during the 6 months prior to exhibit dates or in any exhibit at Art Saint Louis Gallery. Limit 5 original artworks per artist. Specifications include: 2-D works must be framed or pre-approved; no ceiling-installed or floor-sitting work; size limits of 6' wide or 7' tall maximum (including frame); weight limit of 40 lbs for 2-D works; 3-D work must be pedestal-displayed or wall-hung and must sit flat and level on display surface. All works must hang using standard picture hanging hardware or French cleat system.

The juror is artist Debra Drexler, Professor of Art and Chairperson of Drawing & Painting at University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Awards of Excellence will be selected by juror and include one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence and four non-cash Awards of Excellence. Award recipients are eligible for the Honor Awards 2019 curated exhibit at Art Saint Louis, June 15-July 18, 2019. The exhibition runs November 10-December 20, 2018, at Art Saint Louis Gallery, 1223 Pine Street, downtown St. Louis. A free reception and awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 17, 2018, 5-7 p.m. Entry deadline is August 13, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
