About This Call
Art Saint Louis XXXIII, The Exhibition is a juried exhibition featuring artworks in all media, techniques, styles, all subjects, and themes. Only open to artists 21 years of age and older living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius. Artists must live in St. Louis at the time the exhibit opens on November 11, 2017. This is a local/regional exhibition only.
Artists may submit up to 5 original artworks completed between 2014-2017. Works must not have been exhibited in any juried exhibit in the St. Louis region during the 6 months prior to the exhibit dates or previously exhibited at Art Saint Louis Gallery. 2-D works must be framed or pre-approved for presentation. Size limits: final installation size not to exceed 6 feet wide or 7 feet tall, including frame. Weight limit for 2-D works: 40 lbs maximum. 3-D works must be pedestal-displayed or wall-hung sculpture. No ceiling-installed work, installation works, or artworks sitting directly on the gallery floor are permitted.
Entry deadline is August 4, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fees: $45 for non-members, $25 for Art Saint Louis members. Judging is conducted online using JPEGs only. Submit up to 2 images per artwork (1 full view required, plus either 1 detail or 1 alternate view). Images must be JPEG format, minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi, maximum 5MB. Video submissions accepted in multiple formats, maximum 100MB. Awards of Excellence will be selected by juror Dan Anderson, including a $250 Best of Show Award and 4 non-cash Awards of Excellence. Award recipients are eligible for the Honor Awards 2018 curated exhibit (June 16-July 19, 2018).
