Art Quilt Elements 2024

Art Quilt Elements 2024 is the 16th International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Art Quilts. Selected works will be on display in the Davenport and Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Galleries of Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from March 24 through April 27, 2024. The exhibition features jurors Carolyn Ducey (curator of collections at the International Quilt Museum), Ann Johnston (artist and educator known for hand-dyed fabrics and large-scale quilt series), and Bruce W. Pepich (Executive Director and Curator of Collections of the Racine Art Museum).

Eligibility requirements: Artists must be 18 years or older. Works must be original in design, completed in the last two years (after January 1, 2022), and not previously exhibited at Wayne Art Center. Collaborative works are accepted. All work must be for sale and remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. Size limitations: works not exceeding 12 feet (144 inches) high will be considered. Artists may submit up to three works per application with a maximum of six images to show alternate views or details. Entry fee is $50 per application. Online entry opens July 1, 2023, with a final deadline of October 15, 2023, at midnight MST. Notification of accepted or declined work will be communicated by email between October 31 and November 3, 2023.

Image specifications: JPG files only, minimum 300 dpi, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB file size. Shipping and delivery of accepted work should arrive March 13-15, 2024, 10am-5pm. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs via FedEx or UPS and must enclose a pre-paid return shipping label. Wayne Art Center will insure work for 60% of retail value while on premises. The opening reception is Sunday, March 24, 2024, 3-5pm. Work retrieval is April 29-May 1, 2024, 9am-5pm. Wayne Art Center retains 40% commission on sales. All work must be submitted installation ready with rails or rods for wall installation.
