Art Quilt Elements 2022

AQE 2022 is the 15th International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Art Quilts, held at Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from March 27 through April 30, 2022. Selected works will be displayed in both the Davenport and Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Galleries. The exhibition is juried by Jane Milosch (internationally recognized curator and Visiting Professorial Fellow in Provenance and Curatorial Studies at University of Glasgow), Paula Nadelstern (internationally recognized quilt artist honored in the Twentieth Century's 100 Best American Quilts), and Jason Pollen (Professor emeritus of the Kansas City Art Institute and American Craft Council Fellow).

Artists must be 18 years or older and may submit up to three works per application with a $50 entry fee. Work must be original in design, completed after January 1, 2020, and not previously exhibited at Wayne Art Center. All work must be for sale and remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. Artists may submit up to six images per application to show alternate views or details. Images must be JPG format, at least 300 dpi, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. The entry deadline is November 1, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of accepted or declined work will be sent via email the week of November 14, 2021.

Shipped work should arrive March 16-18, 2022 between 10am-5pm. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must include a pre-paid return shipping label. Wayne Art Center will insure accepted work for 60% of its retail value while on premises. Work not retrieved by May 31, 2022 becomes the property of Wayne Art Center. The opening reception is Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 3-5pm. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm, closed Sundays and holidays.
