About This Call
The QUARTERLY is a contemporary art publication and exhibition by Dabster Arts Inc. Since 2011, the organization has focused on displaying and documenting contemporary art and artists. The QUARTERLY publication and exhibition is a quarterly art project that features individuals with unique stories and their distinctive artwork. The Fall 2023 issue will create a contemporary visual diary of cultural commentary from individual experiences and perspectives on all topics, from political to pop culture and everything in between. Every issue's concept or artistic theme is determined by the artists and their submissions.
Artists selected for The QUARTERLY will be featured in both the publication and exhibition. In the publication, artists will receive either a feature (1-3 pages with write-up and selected artwork images) or a full article (3-6 pages with write-up, interview, and full pictorial spread). Featured artists receive a gratis copy of the issue. The QUARTERLY Fall 2023 Issue will be available for sale on Amazon, Blurb, the organization's website, and gallery locations, with distribution reaching 15,000 subscribers. The publication will also be sent to LACMA's Balch Art Research Library and MFAH's Hirsch Library for catalog and collection.
Selected artists will participate in a 3-month online exclusive exhibition listed on the organization's website and ARTSY sales platform. A virtual opening reception will feature a panel discussion moderated by the Dab Art Co. Director, with participating artists and viewers encouraged to post questions and comments. The exhibition reaches tens of thousands of viewers through ARTSY, which receives 2.2 million unique visitors monthly from 130+ countries. Entry fee is $45 for 5 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. Selected artwork must remain available for sale throughout the exhibition. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales. Sales remittance to artists will be provided within 5-7 business days after payment is received. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres.
