Art Pop Beaufort

ArtPop is a program that promotes local artists' work through available billboard space in the greater Beaufort area. The program is made possible by generous donations of space from Adams Outdoor Advertising in partnership with local arts groups. Selected artwork will be displayed on vinyl billboards throughout the Adams Outdoor Beaufort coverage area for approximately one year, rotating across available locations on a space-available basis.

Eligibility: Artists must be at least 18 years old and live in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, or Colleton counties of South Carolina. Artwork must be original, created by the submitting artist within the last two years, and appropriate for public viewing. All media is acceptable except artwork created exclusively digitally. Artists working in 3D should note that artwork will be photographed and displayed in 2D format.

Submission Requirements: Submit up to 3 images digitally through BeaufortArtsCouncil.org. File dimensions must be 4.5" high by 11.166" wide (translating to 10'-6" high by 22'-9" wide on billboards). Files must be .JPG or .PDF format in CMYK color, not exceeding 5MB per image. Include an artist statement and resume/biography. A jury of seven will select ten winning images for display. Winners will be announced prior to February 1, 2016. Winning artists must resubmit artwork at a minimum of 300DPI and will grant all reproduction and photographic rights to the Beaufort Arts Council. Work will be judged on execution and technique, personal expression, organization, integration of all elements, and appropriateness for public viewing.
