About This Call
Art on the Lake takes place at Russell Crossroads, the heart of the Russell Lands community, Memorial Day weekend. The show will be held Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the Town Green at Russell Crossroads, diagonally across from Catherine's Market, located at 17 Russell Farms Road, Alexander City, AL 35010. The show will be held in conjunction with RXR Fest on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.
Applications are open to all artists and designers. Each artist must submit three images showcasing their work through the ZAPPlication platform. Accepted mediums include drawing, furniture, painting, photography, glass, pottery, wood, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media, printmaking, textiles, candles/soaps, and other. All work must be original, handcrafted, and not imported, mass produced, made from kits, or manufactured. Reproductions of a participating artist's original work are permitted but must not exceed 25% of the total products offered for sale. The application deadline is May 3, 2026. Late applications submitted after May 4, 2026 will incur a $40 late fee.
Booth fees are $150 for a single booth (10' x 10'), $290 for a double booth (10' x 20'), and $430 for a triple booth (10' x 30'). Power is available for $15. All booths will be located underneath event-style tents provided by the show. Artists are responsible for tables, chairs, and all display pieces. Early setup is available Friday, May 22 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (display pieces only). Show setup is Saturday, May 23 from 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM. Show breakdown is Sunday, May 24 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Artists must be present for the entirety of the show and are considered a no-show if their space is not occupied by 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 23. Artists are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax (6%). Russell Crossroads security is on-site every night from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Russell Lands is not responsible for anything left on the Town Green. Refunds are available according to the following schedule: February 2-28, full refund; March 1 - April 8, 50% refund; after April 8, no refund.
