About This Call
The River Falls Community Arts Base presents the 29th year of Art on the Kinni (AOK), a juried fair held annually on the first Saturday after Labor Day along the banks of the Kinnickinnic River in downtown River Falls. This juried Fine Art Festival showcases over 80 artisans featuring specialty hand-crafted items, including ceramics, culinary arts, drawing, fiber work, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, wood and more. AOK draws nearly 6,000 visitors for this one-day event, with downtown River Falls offering boutiques, antiques, breweries, and great dining choices just steps away.
New this year is a "Crafter's Village" comprising 10 booths offering culinary and other fine crafts at the northern entrance to the event. Booth cost is $100, with limited double booths available for $200 on a first-come, first-served basis. Booth spaces are generally 12' wide by 10' deep along a park pathway. Prizes are awarded to Best in Show and two runners-up. The festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Application requires 5 images (4 of current work and 1 booth image) with a $25 nonrefundable jury fee. Artists must be onsite during the entire festival and may only sell items represented in their application within their juried media category. Commercial molds, kits, patterns, reproductions, and buy/sell items are not accepted. Vehicle setup is Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00-9:30 a.m., with security provided overnight. Full refund available if notice is received by August 15.
