Art on the Edge 2015

Art on the Edge 2015 is the fourth biennial juried exhibition to be held at the New Mexico Museum of Art. Presented by the Friends of Contemporary Art + Photography and the New Mexico Museum of Art, this show will feature five to nine artists, each represented with a developed body of work. Artists will be chosen by juror Nora Burnett Abrams, Associate Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver.

The exhibition is open to artists residing in New Mexico and its bordering states (Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona). A maximum of 300 applicants will be allowed, with submissions automatically closed once the 300th entry is received. All media are welcome, though works cannot exceed ten feet in height due to ceiling height in the gallery. Entry fee is $50 for nonmembers; FOCAP members submit free with a coupon code. Submissions must be made online through Callforentry.org with up to 12 images. The submission deadline is December 7, 2014.

Notification of acceptance will be made by phone by January 31, 2015; others will be notified by email by the same date. The preview reception is April 16, 2015, with public opening on April 17, 2015. The exhibition closes August 30, 2015, with artwork returned to artists September 1-2, 2015.
