Art on the Corner, Downtown Grand Junction 2025

Downtown Grand Junction is a State Certified Creative District that manages Art on the Corner, a public art exhibition featuring rotating sculptures displayed in the historic downtown shopping park. Temporary sculptures are displayed throughout the Main Street and Colorado Avenue corridors alongside the program's permanent collection.

The 2025 exhibition will be curated by Reven Marie Swanson, a monumental sculptor whose work resides in 38 art collections across Colorado, 18 states, and 3 countries. Artists may apply up to 5 times, with each application featuring one sculpture shown in 3-5 photographs from all sides. Sculptures must be made of materials that endure outdoor elements and resist vandalism. All artwork must be original, compatible with the downtown area in style and scale, and available for sale. Artists must be present for installation on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. The artwork will be on display for twelve months. Art on the Corner will handle all sales and retain a 25% commission on purchases during the exhibit period or as a direct result of the exhibit.

Accepted artists receive a $1,000 honorarium after installation and two nights of lodging (October 3-4, 2025). An Artist's Welcome Reception will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025. Best in Show Awards will be presented on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with award payments issued 2-3 weeks after installation. A People's Choice Award will be open for voting from installation through Saturday, November 1, 2025. Artists must live within a reasonable driving distance of Grand Junction, and only 3D mediums are accepted. Artwork previously shown with Art on the Corner is not eligible. The application deadline is July 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of selection the week of August 18, 2025.
