About This Call
Art on the Blue River is the 3rd Annual Art Festival presented by the Summit County Arts Council and the Town of Silverthorne, taking place July 3-4, 2020 in Silverthorne, Colorado. The festival will be held at Rainbow Park with the Gore Mountain Range as backdrop, in conjunction with Silverthorne's First Friday event and the National Repertory Orchestra's Fourth of July celebration. The event features a band, food and beverage vendors, and a concert Saturday morning.
This is a juried show open to artists from across the US. All work must be original and produced directly by the artist. Artist attendance is required both days. Booth spaces are 10 x 10 (single, $300) or 10 x 20 (double, $550). Artists must provide their own free-standing display booth with suitable protection from sun, wind, and rain. The festival takes place at 9,000 feet altitude. Weights are required to protect booths; no staking is allowed. Electricity is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants may request specific booth locations or corner booths based on application date.
Entry fee is $25 (non-refundable). Applicants must submit four digital images via the CAFE application system: three showing individual pieces and one of booth/display setup. An artist statement describing artwork, process, and experience is requested. Show hours are Friday July 3rd, 11 am to 7 pm, and Saturday July 4th, 9 am to 2 pm. Setup is Thursday July 2nd, noon to 5 pm, and/or Friday July 3rd, 8 am to 11 am. Coffee, doughnuts, water, and lunch are provided to artists. A wait list is maintained for each category. Artists participating in both this show and the Meet The Artists - Frisco show (September 12-13, 2020) receive a $50 discount on the Frisco booth fee.
