About This Call
Art on Main is the 11th annual two-day festival celebrating the region's finest artists in historic downtown Brigham City, held Friday & Saturday, May 22-23, 2026. The free festival features a fine art show with cash prizes, plein air competition, chalk art contest, photography exhibit, live music and dance performances, artisan vendor marketplace, food trucks, and street entertainment. All events are free and open to the public except the Friday Night Artist Reception.
The Fine Art Show & Sale takes place at Brigham Academy Center with divisions for Professional, Amateur, and Student artists in categories including Oil/Acrylic, Watercolor, Drawings, and Mixed Media. Studio work must be framed with a maximum size of 30" X 40". Entrance fees are Professional $25/piece, Amateur $15/piece, and Student $10/piece. New artists must submit 5 images to [email protected] with medium, title, and pricing. The Historic Box Elder Plein Air competition is co-located at Brigham Academy Center with contest boundaries in Box Elder County and no specific theme. Initial stamping fee is $25 (includes one submission with unlimited stamps), additional submissions are $10 each, with a maximum of 5 pieces per artist. The Chalk Art Contest ($10 per team/person) takes place Saturday only from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm in Artisan Alley. The Birds of Bear River Photography Exhibit features bird, wildlife, and landscape photography focused on the Bear River watershed with no entrance fee and cash prizes awarded.
Artists must submit applications by May 15, 2026. Vendors must apply by May 13 to meet licensing deadlines, with May 18 as a hard deadline for any application. A $5 non-refundable application fee is required. Outdoor artisan booths are $50 (10' x 10' main vending area or variable alley spaces minimum 100 sq. ft.) and indoor artisan booths are $75. Vendors must provide their own canopy or covering for outdoor spaces. No refunds are offered for any reason, including inclement weather.
