Art Off the Wall

The Ann Arbor Art Center is seeking handmade works of art for the 3rd annual Art Off the Wall holiday exhibition. Art Off the Wall is designed to give patrons the opportunity to purchase original, handmade works of art as holiday gifts or to add to their personal art collection. Artwork is purchased directly "off the wall" for a fun and festive shopping experience.

All artwork mediums are welcome, including painting, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, photography, prints, glass and textiles. Artwork is not required to be holiday themed. A $25 entry fee entitles each artist to submit up to five images. Images may represent a single artwork, five individual artworks, or a collection of the artist's small work. Only credit or debit card payments will be accepted. Members of the Ann Arbor Art Center receive a 50% discount on the submission fee. Current 117 Gallery Shop artists showing the same media are exempt from jury and do not need to resubmit; contact the gallery by October 1 with your intentions.

Artists must submit up to five images as jpeg files. Artworks should have been created within the past three years; 2D artworks may not have been previously shown in any Ann Arbor Art Center exhibitions. The jurying process is anonymous, but artists must submit their CV and bio to the gallery as part of their submission in .doc or .pdf format labeled as Lastname_firstname_CV and Lastname_firstname_Bio. Submission does not guarantee artwork acceptance and fees are non-refundable. Accepted artworks must arrive "ready to hang." The Art Center retains a 50% commission on sold work. Works may be hand delivered or shipped UPS, USPS or FedEx during the designated drop-off period (October 23 - November 13). The artist is responsible for all shipping costs, including return shipping. Exhibition dates: November 18, 2016 - January 7, 2017.
