Art of the State 2015: Pennsylvania

Art of the State: Pennsylvania 2015 is the 48th Annual State-Sponsored, Juried Competition open to Pennsylvania artists, presented by Jump Street and The State Museum of Pennsylvania and administered by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission. The competition is open to established and emerging artists and craftspeople whose work will be selected by a distinguished panel of jurors.

Entries are accepted in five categories: Craft, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Work on Paper. The entry fee is $15 for the first entry, with additional entries at $10 each. Artists must submit one JPG image for Paintings, Photographs, or Work on Paper. For 3D Craft and Sculpture, up to three JPGs (front, back, and side views) may be submitted for each work. Eligibility requires Pennsylvania residency, with work created within the past three years. All work must not exceed 12ft x 12ft and 150lbs in any category. All work must be free standing and/or ready to hang; unframed works will not be accepted.

Artwork will be insured upon delivery to The State Museum of Pennsylvania for either its sale price or insurance value. Artwork is not insured during shipment to or from the museum. Jump Street will promote the sale of exhibited work with no commissions taken. No sale is final until the close of the exhibit on September 13, 2015. The State Museum of Pennsylvania and Jump Street reserve the right to reproduce images for publicity and education purposes. The exhibition runs from June 28 to September 13, 2015.
