Art North International 27

Art North International 27 is an exhibition at Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343. The exhibition runs Saturday, January 8 – Saturday, February 12, 2022, with a reception on Saturday, January 8, 2022, 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Accepted media includes acrylic, ceramic, drawing, fiber, glass, mixed media, oil, pastel, print, photograph, sequential art, sculpture, and watercolor/watermedia. Entry fee is $35 for two images, with additional images at $5 each. A total of up to 11 images may be submitted, and a maximum of three artworks may be selected for the exhibition. All work must be original and not previously exhibited in Arts North or Arts in Harmony shows. Wall-hanging work has a maximum width of 60 inches. Free-standing sculpture must fit through a standard door space and be light enough for a manual dolly. All hanging work must be properly framed with a hanging wire. Drawings, prints, photographs, watercolors, and batik not under glass or plexiglass must be completely fixed to a backing board. Excessively fragile work will not be accepted.

Notification of acceptance is Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Free in-person drop-off of accepted artwork is Wednesday, December 29, noon – 7:00 pm and Thursday, December 30, noon – 7:00 pm. Early in-person drop-off by appointment is available December 20 through December 28 for $25 per artist. Shipped artwork incurs a $20 per box unpacking/repacking fee. In-person return of artwork is Sunday, February 13, 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Return of shipped work begins Tuesday, February 15, 2022. $10,000 in awards are available. Any accepted work listed for sale will be sold through Hopkins Center for the Arts, which retains a 30% sales commission and collects sales tax.
