Art League of Hilton Head 2023 Biennale Exhibition

Art League of Hilton Head invites entries for the 2023 Biennale, its 28th National Juried Exhibition held every other year. The exhibition features multiple media types including oil, acrylic, pastel, watermedia, photography, mixed media, and three-dimensional work. Over $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. All accepted works will be displayed at the Art League Gallery inside the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina from May 16 - June 17, 2023. The juror is Aline Ordman, a Master Pastelist with the Pastel Society of America and signature member of the American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America.

Eligibility: Open to US visual artists, 18 years or older. Each artist may enter up to three pieces of original artwork created within the last three years and never previously accepted into an Art League of Hilton Head juried show. Only one piece per artist will be accepted into the show. Entries must be original in concept, composition, and execution. Giclées and jewelry art are not acceptable. All exhibited work must be for sale. Art League of Hilton Head retains a 40% commission on all sales.

Entry fee: $35.00 with an additional $10.00 media fee. Submit 1-3 digital images. Artwork must be quality framed and protected by Plexiglas where appropriate (glass only for pastel pieces). Two-dimensional pieces must not exceed 60" x 60" including frame or weigh more than 30 pounds. Sculptures and three-dimensional work must not exceed 48" x 48" x 48" and weigh no more than 30 pounds. Accepted artworks can be hand-delivered May 13 & 14, 2023 from 12-4 pm or shipped by Friday, May 12. An Awards Reception will be held May 19, 2023 from 5-7 pm. Notification date: April 12, 2023.
