About This Call
Art in the Park has been held annually since 1973 in Market Common Valor Park, a treed park two blocks from the ocean in the center of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This is the 53rd year of the show. The event is a judged exhibition held on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Booth spaces measure 10 ft x 10 ft. Entry fees are $140 per space for non-members and $125 per space for Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild members, plus a $10 non-refundable jury fee. If registering for 2 or more shows at once, only one jury fee is required. Artists who have already been judged may submit a check with the date of the show they previously attended. Setup takes place all day Friday before the show and Saturday morning before 9 AM. Space numbers are assigned 2 weeks prior to the show.
All work must be original and created by the displaying artist without purchased molds, kits, or commercial mass production processes. Reproductions are allowed but cannot exceed 50% of the total exhibit. All work must match photographs and materials provided to the jury. Exhibitors must remain with their displays and are responsible for protecting work from weather. Booth fees are non-refundable. Exhibitors must collect and remit 6% South Carolina sales tax. Vehicles are not allowed in the park. No drive-in trailers or vans, storage on site, spikes, or screw downs are permitted. Exhibits must be neat and visible on all sides, with containers hidden. Exhibitors cannot begin dismantling displays before 4 PM. For more information, contact JoAnne Utterback at 843-446-3830 or [email protected].
