About This Call
Art in the Park Fine Art Festival is the premier Spring Fine Art Festival on St. Simons Island, held in Postell Park in the heart of the Village. The festival hosts over 60 juried artists from around the region and includes juried awards and cash prizes. Organized by Glynn Visual Arts, now in its 31st year, the event is recognized for its attention to artists' success, community partnerships, beautiful location, and programming.
Accepted categories include 2-D and 3-D mixed media, ceramics, digital art, drawing and printmaking, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood and furniture. Prohibited items include t-shirts and commercial clothing, kits and raw materials, manufactured toys, imported goods, mass-produced items, and items made with commercial molds or templates. No more than 20% of booth space may consist of reproductions, and artists may only show and sell work from their accepted category.
Awards include 1st Place ($350), 2nd Place ($250), 3rd Place ($100), and Director's Choice and Best Booth certificates. The application fee is $15, and each 10' x 10' booth space costs $240. Artists must provide their own white tent, display tables, skirting, and chairs. Check-in is Friday, April 10th from noon to 5pm, with the festival running Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th from 10am to 5pm. The event takes place rain or shine with no refunds given. Glynn Visual Arts provides daily morning coffee, snacks, booth breaks, and staff support. All communications are sent via the Zapp system.
