About This Call
Art in the Park is an annual event dedicated to fine art, craftsmanship, and community that creates a unique opportunity and tradition for artists, collectors, and patrons of the arts. Artists and artisans showcase a wide variety of works and mediums inside of Tom Varn Park – a natural setting surrounded by beautiful oak trees in Brooksville, Florida. This will be our 41st annual show bringing in a diverse crowd of 6,000 attendees from Hernando County and neighboring communities for a celebration of artistry in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
The festival takes place Saturday, March 14, 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. and Sunday, March 15, 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. Art in the Park hosts 120+ fine artists and artisans in categories including Fine Arts Painting, Ceramics, Drawing & Graphics, Fibers, Sculpture, Jewelry, Photography, Digital Art, and Mixed Media, as well as Fine Crafts. Each booth space is 11' x 11' and may not be shared. The jury fee is $35 (non-refundable), with Fine Arts Exhibitor Fee of $250 and Fine Crafts Exhibitor Fee of $200.
All work must be original art created since 2022. Artists must submit three digital images of their artwork and one digital image of booth for each category entered. Awards total $6,500 including Best in Show ($1,500), Fine Art Award of Excellence ($1,000), and various other recognition awards. Judging will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, with awards presented at the Saturday Night Artists' Reception at 5:30 P.M. Artists must be in attendance during both days of the show and provide their own tents, tent weights, tables and display materials.
