About This Call

Art in the Park was created in 1962 and is now host to approximately 70 artists at each show. The event is held outdoors on a relatively level surface with booth spaces of approximately 10' x 10'. Art in the Park's high standards and professional jury attract artisans from all over the Southeast to exhibit in a series of six shows, once a month, May through October. The quality of work exhibited draws more than 35,000 people to the mountains each season.

2026 Art in the Park Dates: May 16, June 13, July 25, August 15, September 12, October 3.

All work must be original, handcrafted, created and exhibited by the approved artist themselves. Kits, imports, and mass produced items will not be tolerated. Art in the Park does not accept t-shirts, sweatshirts, or any food, candles, soaps, etc. Accepted media categories include clay, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, 2-D mixed media, 3-D mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. All applicants are required to submit four images of their work to participate in the jurying process (except award winners from the previous year). Images must reflect work completed within the past two years. Artists are juried by category, and those with the highest scores per category will be invited to participate. A limited number of artists per category will be accepted to provide a balanced show.

Booth spaces are 10' x 10' (or 10' x 20' for double booths on a limited basis). All tents must be white and 10' x 10' or less, including weights. Electricity is not available. WiFi is provided via StarLink. Artist amenities include breakfast and coffee (first come, first serve), professionally coordinated load-in/load-out, free parking, booth sitting (subject to availability), and StarLink WiFi. Setup time is no earlier than 6 a.m., and all booths must be removed by 7:30 p.m. Application Fee: $35. Booth Fee: $250 (10x10 feet) or $450 for a double (10 x 20 feet). Application Deadline: February 6, 2026. Acceptance and Booth Fees Due: April 25, 2026. The application fee is non-refundable. If an artist cancels more than 30 days before the show date, a refund of half the booth fee will be issued if the slot is successfully filled from the waitlist. Cancellations within 30 days or less of the show date will not receive a refund.
