Art In The Fast Lane

Art In The Fast Lane seeks to showcase works that pay tribute to the art and culture of the great American automobile. Work could feature vehicles such as muscles, classics, rods, pickups, and Harleys, as well as related subjects including garage culture, greasers, racing culture, roadside attractions, logos, and pop art. Work should capture the ideals of freedom, speed, and the spirit of the open road.

Vestige Concept Gallery is an art display space and store located in the Lawrenceville gallery district of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The gallery promotes emerging and mid-career artists through monthly mixed exhibitions, sales, and special events including art openings, music performances, and film screenings. This is the final show of a 4-part summer series. The in-person opening reception will be held Saturday, September 11th at 6 PM with music and refreshments.

The exhibition is open to artists age 18 and over from the United States and Canada. Work should ideally have been created in the last three years and must be original artwork ready to display professionally. Work must not have been previously displayed at Vestige Concept Gallery and must be for sale. No Giclees or printed reproductions will be accepted unless agreed upon. Entry fee is $20 for 2 entries, with an additional $5 per entry for up to 8 total submissions. Minimum 2 artworks and maximum 8 images required. Artists will be notified of acceptance by August 26th, 2021. Shipped works must arrive by September 8th, 2021. The gallery retains a 30% commission on sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance. 2D work must not exceed 30 pounds including frame. For questions, contact [email protected].
