About This Call

The Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery invites artists to participate in the 51st Art in the Beartooths fundraiser. This juried exhibition is open to invited artists and members of the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery. The Silent Auction is designed to raise money for the Arts Guild's programs, scholarships, exhibitions, and operations.

Artists may submit up to 3 entries for the jury process. Work must be original, made by the artist, and executed within the last five years. Acceptable mediums include paintings, mixed media, pastels, drawings, ceramics, fine woodwork, textiles, photographs, jewelry, and sculpture. Computer-generated artwork, prints (including giclees), and crafts are not allowed. Work submitted to past auctions is not permitted. Image submissions must be JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, and in sRGB color profile. Two-dimensional pieces cannot exceed 48" on any side (no more than 2,804 square inches including frame), and three-dimensional works cannot exceed 2' by 2' by 3' or weigh over 50 pounds.

Accepted work will be on view July 13 - August 5, 2024 at the Depot Gallery in Red Lodge, Montana. Online bidding opens at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13 and closes Monday, August 5, 2024 at 7 p.m. through Handbid. An opening reception will be held Saturday, July 13 from 2-4 p.m. with live music, food, and drink. A Quick Finish and Live Auction event will take place Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Red Lodge Ales Event Center, featuring 20 invited artists. Artists notified of acceptance by June 6. All accepted art must be received at the gallery by July 7. As a fundraiser, artists may contribute either 50% or 100% of the auction sale price to the Arts Guild. The artist is responsible for all delivery, return packing, insurance, and shipping costs.
