Art in the Atrium 25

The City of Frisco seeks original, 2-dimensional artworks for the 25th installment of the Art in the Atrium exhibition series. The exhibition will be held in the Grand Gallery and Community Gallery at the Discovery Center (8004 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034) and is scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2024 through Monday, January 27, 2025. A reception will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 from 6 to 7:30 pm.

Artists may submit up to two images of original artwork. All artworks must be original, framed and suitable for hanging with wire securely attached, and have a maximum size of 60 inches (vertical) x 60 inches (horizontal). Three-dimensional artwork will not be considered. Artwork must be appropriate for an office setting and for viewing by public officials, City employees, and citizens, including children. Submit images in .jpg format with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the shortest side, including artist's name, artwork title, date of completion, medium, size in inches, artwork description, and price if for sale.

All artworks must be delivered and picked up in-person. Artists must drop off selected artwork on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 between 10 am and 2 pm at the Discovery Center and pick up artwork on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 between noon and 2 pm. Shipped artworks will not be accepted and return shipping will not be provided. Selected artists will be required to sign a loan agreement by Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Artwork may be for sale, but any sold artwork must remain on display until the conclusion of the exhibition. The City of Frisco does not receive commission on artwork sales. Selection criteria includes compliance with requirements, appropriateness of content, uniqueness and originality, visual impact, demonstrated excellence of technique, and whether the artwork reflects the shared values of the City of Frisco.
