About This Call
The 19th Annual Weaverville Art in Autumn Festival takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Weaverville, North Carolina, located 7 miles from downtown Asheville. The festival features over 100 juried artists and craftspeople and live music. Sponsored by the Weaverville Business Association and the Town of Weaverville, the event is widely promoted regionally through public radio, digital and social media, and print media.
Artists must submit 4 images of their work (3 of current original work and 1 booth shot) for jury consideration. The application fee is $35, and the booth fee for accepted artists is $175. Booth spaces are limited to 114 artists at 10'x10' each on an asphalt surface. Set-up begins at 6 a.m., and exhibitors must check in before 9 a.m. Breakdown must be completed by 8 p.m. Invited artists will be notified of booth location and arrival instructions approximately 4 weeks after acceptance and payment.
Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), Second Place ($500), Third Place ($250), and 4 honorable mentions at $50 each. Applicants will receive jury notification by July 1, 2026. All application and booth fees are non-refundable. Exhibitors must register with the NC Department of Revenue for sales tax purposes and collect 7% sales tax. No animals or vehicles are allowed in the exhibitor area during show hours, and no alcohol is permitted on town property.
