About This Call

Art in America: 250 Years of Shared Creativity invites artists to explore and interpret the people, landscapes, traditions, history, and cultural moments that shape the American experience. Submissions may include work inspired by regional life, community traditions, historic milestones, evolving social movements, industry and innovation, popular culture, or everyday scenes that capture a sense of place and time. Both nostalgic and contemporary perspectives are welcome, and artists are encouraged to share personal, cultural, or community stories that reflect the diversity and complexity of the nation.

The exhibition will be held at the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery at the Bankhead Theater, 2400 First Street, Livermore, from May 14 – July 25, 2026. Accepted work must be delivered Tuesday, May 12, 10am-12noon. A reception will be held Saturday, May 23, 2-4 pm. Artwork pickup is Tuesday, July 28, 10am-noon. The entry deadline is April 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PDT, with notification of acceptance by end of day April 24. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 images. Work must be wired and ready to hang. No overtly religious or controversial pieces will be accepted. Work will be juried by Livermore Valley Arts staff. All work must remain up for the duration of the show. Livermore Valley Arts will handle all sales and send payment to artists after a 4% credit card processing fee, with 70% going to the artist. Artists must sign a release form waiving liability for damage or theft. Livermore Valley Arts does not provide insurance for work that is damaged or stolen.
