Art Gallery Studios Mexico City - Monthly Exhibition Call

Art Gallery Studios is a Dab Art Co. gallery located in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City. Housed in a 2-story former residence with 900 sqft of combined exhibition space, the gallery features both original colonial architecture and contemporary display walls. The gallery is curated exclusively by Micheal Swank, who holds a BFA in Printmaking and Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters in Technology from Pepperdine University.

This call accepts painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Artists may submit 3-20 images. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each. An optional Zoom consultation with the curator is available for $75, limited to 1 hour, covering portfolio review, online presence feedback, and professional guidance. Consultations are non-refundable regardless of exhibition selection.

Entries submitted by 12/31/2023 are reviewed weekly for upcoming exhibition consideration. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Selected artists typically exhibit 10-20 per month across solo and group shows. All work must be original, unsold, and owned solely by the artist. 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. The gallery retains 50% commission on all sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. For inquiries, contact [email protected].
