Art Forward Contests—Show & Sell—Contest 5 Summer 2016

Art Forward Contests is accepting entries for Contest 5 Summer 2016 in painting and photography. Gold Award Winners will have their selected images featured in a full-page ad in the June/July/August issue of Blouin Gallery Guide, a publication distributed to approximately 400 galleries nationally and internationally, 27 major art shows, and 20 prestigious art museums, with a claimed total viewership of 700,000 per issue. Silver and Bronze Award Winners will have their names printed in the same gallery guide ad. All 32 winners will have their images exhibited in the Winners Gallery, which has been accessed by more than 20,000 viewers.

Eligibility is open to painters and photographers, 18 and older, at any career level, working anywhere in the world. The theme is Show & Sell, which does not limit subject matter. Contemporary art created during and after 2000 in two-dimensional painting and photography disciplines qualify. Painting includes collage and mixed-media techniques but not drawing or printing. Photography includes black and white and color, digital and film, classic printing processes, and computer manipulation but not digital art. There are no size restrictions on original artwork.

Submission requires 3-13 JPEG images at minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and maximum 5 MB file size. Basic submission of 3 images is $35; additional images up to 10 are $5 per image. Artists may list asking prices for awarded work, which will be posted in the Winners Gallery with no commission charged by the contest. Work must be original and the artist must own the copyright. Submission fee is non-refundable. There are 32 total winners: 2 Gold Awards (one painting, one photography), 6 Silver Awards (three each), and 24 Bronze Awards (12 each).
