Art Forward Contests—Dialogue with Myself—Contest 4 Spring 2016

Art Forward Contests is accepting submissions for Contest 4 Spring 2016 with the theme "Dialogue With Myself." Gold Award Winners in painting and photography will have their selected images featured in a full-page advertisement in the April issue of Blouin Gallery Guide, a publication distributed to approximately 400 galleries nationally and internationally, 27 major art shows, and 20 prestigious art museums, with a claimed total viewership of 700,000 per issue. Silver and Bronze Award Winners will have their names printed in the same gallery guide ads. All 32 winners will have their images exhibited in the Winners Gallery, which has been accessed by more than 20,000 viewers.

Eligible artists are painters and photographers, 18 and older, at any career level, working anywhere in the world. Contemporary art created during and after 2000 in two-dimensional painting and photography disciplines qualify. Painting includes collage and mixed-media techniques but not drawing, printing, or graphic arts. Photography includes black-and-white and color, digital and film, lomography, pinhole, classic printing processes, and computer manipulation, but not digital art. There are no size restrictions on original artwork.

Submission fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images available at $5 per image (up to 10 additional images). Images must be submitted as JPEG files, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and maximum 5 MB file size. Work must be original and the artist must own the copyright. Altogether, 32 winners will be selected: two Gold Awards (one in painting, one in photography), six Silver Awards (three in painting, three in photography), and 24 Bronze Awards (12 in painting, 12 in photography). Entry deadline is February 8, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
