About This Call
Join us for the Deer Path Art League's 70th Annual Art Fair on the Square, held in the picturesque and historic Market Square in Lake Forest, Illinois. This well-attended, highly rated Fine Arts Fair is a long-standing tradition and the Deer Path Art League's signature event. Proceeds from booth fees and sponsorships help support and fulfill our mission to bring the visual arts to the community. The fair takes place August 31 & September 1, 2025.
Artists must submit four images: three showcasing their work and one displaying their booth. New artists without a booth image may submit a photo of their work collection. Artists are responsible for their own 10' x 10' or 10' x 20' white canopy tent, and displays must remain within the booth space. Electricity and generators are not permitted. Categories include ceramics, digital art, drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry (precious and semi-precious), mixed media, painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor/gouache), photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood.
Application fee is $35 (non-refundable), with booth fees of $450 for standard booths, $550 for corner booths, and $900 for double booths. Artists retain all proceeds from sales but must collect and report 8% Lake County sales tax. Monetary awards will be presented in various categories, with Best in Show and category winners selected by independent judges. Award-winning artists receive automatic invitations to return the following year. Amenities include complimentary artist lunch, booth sitters, bottled water, convenient parking, night security patrols, and volunteer assistance with setup and tear-down.
