Art Fair Off the Square 2026 - Madison, WI - 47th Annual

The 47th Annual Art Fair Off the Square is a juried art fair sponsored and organized by the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Inc. (WAAC), a nonprofit organization founded and run by artists. The fair occurs concurrently with the Art Fair on the Square and is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors during this two-day celebration of visual art. The Art Fair Off the Square will feature approximately 113 artist spaces.

The fair takes place off the Capital Square in Madison on July 11-12, 2026 (Saturday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Artists can apply in 12 categories: Ceramics, Digital Media, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media 2D, Mixed Media 3D, Painting, Photography, Printmaking & Drawing, Sculpture, and Wood. All artwork must be original and designed and executed by the artist. Artists must submit 5 images per category (a booth shot is required). The application fee is $30 per category entered, and artists may submit up to 6 applications. Only Wisconsin residents aged 18 or older are eligible to exhibit; a valid Wisconsin Driver's License is required at check-in.

Application deadline is March 2, 2026. Jury notification is April 10, 2026. The purchase deadline is April 10, 2026. Amenities include booth sitting services, free city Wi-Fi, drive-up loading and unloading access for most booths, and awards for Best in Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place. A What to Expect Zoom session is scheduled for June 25, 2026 (1-2 p.m.), and set-up occurs July 10, 2026.
