Art Fair Off the Square 2025 - Madison, WI - 46th Annual

The 46th Annual Art Fair Off the Square is one of two juried fairs sponsored and produced by the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Inc. (WAAC), a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation formed to promote and create contact between Wisconsin artists and craftspeople and the public. WAAC takes pride in having been created and operated by the artists themselves. The fair runs concurrently with the Art Fair on the Square, with more than 200,000 people expected to visit downtown Madison during this two-day celebration of visual art. The Art Fair Off the Square will be comprised of approximately 113 artist spaces.

The fair runs Saturday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Applications are due March 1, with acceptance notifications by April 11. Artists may jury in as many as six categories with a $30 jury fee per category. All work displayed must be designed and executed by the artist, and artists must submit a set of images for each category in which they wish to exhibit.

Media categories include Ceramics, Digital Media, Fiber (including Leather), Glass, Graphics (Drawing, Printmaking), Jewelry, Mixed Media 2D, Mixed Media 3D, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Wood. Each category has specific requirements for original, handcrafted work with no mass production permitted. Amenities include booth sitting services, free city Wi-Fi, and drive-up access for most booths for loading and unloading.
