Art Exposed ReVision Florence 2026-2028

The City of Florence invites emerging, mid-career, and established artists to submit work for Art Exposed: A Rotating Outdoor Art Gallery. Selected artists will display their work on a 0.7-mile stretch of Highway 101 called ReVision Florence for a two-year period. The program generates community pride, provides high-visibility display opportunities, and promotes Florence as a public art destination. The City of Florence's Public Arts Committee has installed 30 pieces of art since its inception in 2015, including a large-scale mural at the Highway 126 gateway entrance.

Six locations have been selected for art display on Highway 101 between the Siuslaw River Bridge and the Highway 126 intersection. Artists may submit one entry per location, with each submission requiring a $25 entry fee. Selected artists will receive a $1,500 stipend to provide their work for up to two years from the April 2026 installation date. Art displayed must be available for sale to the public. If a piece is purchased before the two-year contract ends, the artist has first opportunity to replace it with a new piece approved by the Public Arts Committee. The City provides bases for installation and Public Works support. All transportation costs are the artist's responsibility. All artwork must be original design suitable for all ages, and artists must be at least 18 years old.

Submissions must include 2-8 images and up to 4 videos (2-12 total samples). Required information includes preferred location, title, date created, description, list price, detailed materials list, dimensions, weight, artist's history with materials, maintenance procedures, and a maximum 150-word artist statement. Each location has specific dimension requirements ranging from 12-15 feet in height and 4-6 feet in width. The application deadline is February 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST. Notifications will be sent in March 2026, with installation scheduled for April and May 2026.
