Art Exhibition at University of Pennsylvania

The Penn Journal of Arts and Sciences (PJAS) is hosting an art exhibition in partnership with Penn's Philomathean literary society, set in the Philo halls overlooking College Green at the University of Pennsylvania. The exhibition will feature a diverse array of artwork selected to reflect the journal's commitment to celebrating creativity and intellectual exploration. Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work and compete for a chance to have their pieces permanently installed in Penn's Philo halls or other significant locations on campus and in West Philadelphia.

Artists may submit high-resolution images of up to 20 artworks (with titles, dimensions, and medium) along with a brief artist statement (150-300 words). Artists should indicate whether they would like to be considered for permanent installation on Penn's campus and/or in West Philadelphia. The exhibition is open to international artists regardless of affiliation with Penn. All submitted works must be original creations by the artist and have not been previously exhibited at Penn. The artworks should resonate with themes of creativity, intellectual exploration, and cultural impact.

Entry deadline: December 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee: $10.00. Up to 5 applications allowed per artist. Selected artists will be notified via email, and installation location and timing will be coordinated after the exhibition.
