Art Competition "Senses"

Art Mozaik Gallery is accepting entries for a juried art competition open to artists from all over the United States. This competition invites artists to showcase their creativity through works that explore the concept of human perception and the five senses—sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell—and their relationship to the human experience. Artists are encouraged to present their interpretation of how these senses influence emotions, memories, and daily lives through various mediums including painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and digital art.

The gallery is seeking evocative artworks that provoke emotional or intellectual responses; innovative and unique interpretations of the five senses using dynamic concepts or unexpected materials; and aesthetically compelling pieces that captivate audiences with their craftsmanship, originality, and artistic vision. Art Mozaik Gallery especially values contributions from New Mexico's arts community and aims to draw attention to the creative ability in the area.

Entry fee is $45. Submissions must include 1-3 images. All works must be original, for sale with a minimum price of $150, and no larger than 320 square inches including frame. Applications are accepted from living artists over the age of 18. Works must not be copies, diptychs, computer-generated, or produced as part of class instruction. All accepted artworks must be ready to hang/display with proper hardware. Submission deadline is October 20, 2024. Notification dates are October 22-23, 2024. Artwork must arrive by October 28-30, 2024. Exhibition dates are November 1-30, 2024, with a reception on November 1 from 5-7pm. Unsold works pickup/return is November 30-December 2, 2024 (11am-3pm).
