About This Call
Art Birmingham, now in its 45th year, takes place on Mother's Day Weekend (May 9-10, 2026) on the streets surrounding Shain Park in downtown Birmingham, Michigan. This highly respected event showcases jury-selected artists in an elegant setting surrounded by convenient parking and within easy access to the unique stores and restaurants of downtown Birmingham. The fair runs Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.
Artists in fine art and fine craft disciplines are invited to apply. The application requires 5 images (4 work images and 1 booth image) and a $30 jury fee. Applications are accepted online at Zapplication.org until February 16, 2026. Late applications are subject to a $25 late fee. Professional overnight security is provided Friday and Saturday, with ample free artist parking available. Electricity will not be available and generators are not allowed.
Show features include extensive advertising and promotion, professional art fair staff, select social media artist highlights, artist awards, hospitality tent with refreshments, friendly booth sitters, and artist listings with images and website links on the event page. The event is produced by the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center in association with The Guild of Artists & Artisans. Artists must comply with Exhibition Standards requiring original work design and execution by the artist.
