Art Beat of Historic Downtown Bridgeport

Art Beat Festival 2018 is a public one-day exhibition and handmade art event in Bridgeport, Texas. The festival invites artists of all genres to collaborate and generate awareness of art forms with an emphasis on visual arts. This creates an avenue for artists and artisan crafters to promote and sell their items while providing hands-on opportunities to children and the community to experience art. The event will feature a free Children's Area, art demonstrations, public performances, and more. The event is sponsored by Greater Wise Arts Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the City of Bridgeport.

Event Date: Saturday, October 27th, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is a juried show for fine arts, artisan, and handmade craft items only. All applications must be accompanied by two close-up photos of your work. Entry fee is $5.00. Booth spaces are available: single 10x10 booth space is $60.00 and a double 10x20 is $100.00. Electricity is available upon request for $10.00 (vendor must provide extension cords up to 20 feet in length). Tables, chairs, and linens may be rented from A Vintage Affair: six-foot table with two white garden chairs for $10.00, and white floor-length tablecloths for six-foot tables for $8.00. Lunch is available for purchase from the Mask House for $10.00 (soup or salad, sandwich, and drink).

Set-up is from 7:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. All tents will be erected on the street and may not be anchored into the ground. Tents must be weighted to at least 30 lbs. per leg or a minimum of 120 lbs. All tables must be draped with a tablecloth or skirted to maintain a neat appearance; white or black cloths are preferred. Booth placement will be assigned at sign-in. No early take down is allowed. All sales monies become the property of each individual artist. Greater Wise Arts Association does not receive any portion of sales. Vendors are asked to help GWAA's raffle by donating an item of $30 or greater value.
