Art & Autonomy

Art & Autonomy invites artists from Los Angeles and surrounding Southern California communities to participate in a one-night charitable exhibition benefiting Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. The exhibition explores reproductive freedom, bodily autonomy, healthcare, motherhood, identity, resistance, and related themes. We welcome painting, photography, mixed media, collage, sculpture, works on paper, and other visual media. Artwork may approach these themes personally, politically, emotionally, conceptually, or abstractly.

Submission Guidelines

Open to artists in Los Angeles and surrounding Southern California communities.
Artists may submit up to 3 works.
$5 submission contribution per artist covers up to 3 works and goes directly to Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.
Suggested donation amounts for exhibited artwork must be $500 or less. Final amounts will be determined by the exhibition organizers.
Selected artwork must be hand-delivered; no shipping.
Selected artwork should arrive ready to display or install.

Artwork Donation & Fundraising

This is a fully charitable exhibition. 100% of donations received in exchange for artwork will benefit Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.
Artists whose work is selected agree to donate their artwork to the exhibition without compensation. Artwork not placed with a donor may be collected after the exhibition. Pickup details will be provided to participating artists.

Important Dates

Submission deadline: Sunday, November 15, 2026
Artists notified: Sunday, November 22, 2026
Artwork delivery: Sunday, November 29, 2026 - Tuesday, December 1, 2026
Exhibition: Sunday, December 6, 2026

How To Apply

Step 1: Make your $5 submission contribution.

Step 2: Email your artwork images and submission details to [email protected]
Each submission must include:
• Artist’s name
• Artist’s social media/website (if applicable)
• Images of the artwork
• Title, medium, and dimensions (Works must be under 4ft x 4ft)
• Suggested artwork value amount
• Brief artist biography (maximum 150 words)
• Short statement connecting the artwork to the exhibition theme (maximum 200 words)
• Email subject line: ART & AUTONOMY SUBMISSION

Submission deadline: Sunday, November 15, 2026.
Late submissions will not be considered.
