Art at the Center - The Juried Exhibition 2015

The City of Overland Park's annual Juried Fine Art Exhibition features more than $4,500 in awards. The 2015 guest juror is Joseph Lorusso. Entry deadline is March 8, 2015. The opening reception is April 3, 2015 at 5:30 p.m., with awards announced at 6:30 p.m.

Awards include: Best of Show ($2,000), Second Place ($1,000), Third Place ($500), three Honorable Mention Awards ($250 each), six Juror Choice Awards ($50 each), and a People's Choice Award ($200). Entry fee is $25. Artists may submit 1-4 images. All manner of art is welcome including paintings, photography, mixed media, pastels, sculpture (wall mount, pedestal, and floor standing), jewelry, ceramics, carved wood, and kinetic pieces.

Art at the Center is a not-for-profit gallery space offering artists, both professional and amateur, an opportunity to showcase their work in the heart of Overland Park. The exhibition dates back to 1979 and has featured jurors of international renown. Work is displayed at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, open Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. - 10 p.m., Saturdays 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. The center is staffed and uses security measures including video surveillance.
