Art at the Avenue 2023

Art at the Avenue 2023 is a juried exhibition celebrating SCAA's 51 years of art inspiration. The exhibition runs from July 15-8/5, 2023, and will feature collaborative presentations by the Georgia Ballet and Georgia Symphony. A student artwork juried competition for middle and high schools will also be included, along with a student emerging artists display.

The exhibition is open to all USA residents 18 and older. Entry fee is $45. Artists may submit 1-4 images of original artwork not previously included in the 2022 exhibit. Two-dimensional artwork must be up to 60 inches on the longest side and up to 60 pounds. Three-dimensional freestanding artwork must fit through a retail front door (40x70 inches). All work must be wired and ready to hang with appropriate hanging hardware; saw tooth hangers, D-rings, clips, and adhesive or clip frames are not accepted. Artwork must be delivered in person; no shipments will be accepted. All work must be for sale, and artists should price accordingly to include a 25% SCAA commission.

Juror Kathy Rennell Forbes is an accomplished artist, signature member and past president of Georgia Watercolor Society, and BFA graduate of University of Georgia. Awards include $500 first prize, $300 second prize, and $150 third prize, awarded at the juror's discretion. Acceptance notifications will be sent June 11, 2023, with delivery details included. A gift shop opportunity is available for participating artists to sell additional work. Artwork will remain in the gallery through the end of the exhibit unless sold.
