About This Call
St. John's Health Foundation seeks original paintings, limited edition prints, and photographs for display in healthcare settings. Selected artists will receive a $500 honorarium, inclusive of shipping. Artists living or working in Teton County, Wyoming are invited to apply.
Artworks will be displayed on loan and as part of the permanent collection across 10 display locations throughout St. John's Health facilities for a one-year period between April 2024 and January 2026. All artworks must be framed using durable, permanent media that is safe, can be cleaned, and requires little to no maintenance. Plexiglass, not glass, should be used in all displayed art.
St. John's Health has adopted Evidence Based Art Selection criteria to guide the collection. Preferred artwork includes nature imagery depicting healthy plants and flowers; landscapes with visual depth and open foreground; calming, natural color palettes; conceptual designs referencing ethereal movements of wind, water, and air; healthy wildlife in positive activities; and figurative art depicting smiling faces and leisurely interactions. Selection criteria emphasize artistic merit, originality, creativity, and work that creates a welcoming impression evoking calm, healing, wellness, and excellence in service.
Submissions must include 8-12 images of available art (1920 pixels or larger on longest edge, max 5MB each) and an optional letter of interest (500 words or less) articulating your interest in the project and how your work addresses the foundation's goals. Contact: [email protected] or 307-413-0145.
