Art and Flowers: Color, Form and Harmony

A juried competition presented by Ellington-White Contemporary Art Gallery in partnership with Cape Fear Botanical Garden and The Rosenthal Gallery at Fayetteville State University. This exhibition celebrates original 2D floral art paired with eye-catching floral arrangements created by regional floral designers inspired by the selected artworks. The exhibition will be held at two locations: Cape Fear Botanical Garden (May 9–16, 2015) and Fayetteville State University Rosenthal Gallery (May 23–June 20, 2015).

Eligibility: Open to professional artists 18 years of age or older. All work must be original and completed within the last three years. Artists may submit a maximum of three original 2D works completed within the last two years that have not been previously exhibited in Cumberland County. Work size must be between 12" x 12" and 48" x 48" including frame. All works must be properly framed, wired, and ready to hang. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images. Giclees and artwork created under instructor supervision are not eligible.

Awards: $3,500 in cash awards. Each accepted artist will receive one complimentary copy of the exhibition poster. All work will be available for purchase with a 30% commission on sales. Accepted works must arrive ready to install between May 4–8, 2015. Hand-delivered entries may be picked up June 22–25, 2015 from 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. at the Rosenthal Gallery.
