About This Call
The Cool Spring Downtown District, a charitable nonprofit organization advancing arts, entertainment, and economic opportunity in downtown Fayetteville, is seeking proposals from North Carolina-based artists for Art Alley. Artists from Cumberland County are especially encouraged to apply. Art Alley is located at 222 Hay Street in the heart of Downtown Fayetteville and features an urban outdoor exhibit hall with a Banner Trak system displaying five 70x70 inch windows for vinyl print artwork.
Selected artwork will be printed and hung in Art Alley for a minimum of six months. A total stipend of $500 will be awarded to selected artists. Artwork will be reviewed by committee in early May and selected based on quality of work, creativity, artistic merit, composition, and geography of artist. Finalists will be decided without preference to racial or ethnic origins, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disability, or age.
Proposals must include: artist name, email, mailing address, phone number, and artist website or portfolio link; artist statement explaining selected images and interest in being featured; and 5-7 high-resolution images (300 dpi) in PDF format sized to 70x70 inches. No 3D art will be reviewed. Images must be submitted by March 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST to [email protected]. For questions, contact (910) 223-1089.
