Art & Agriculture 2010 Exhibition

The Art & Agriculture 2010 Exhibition at Columbia Art Gallery in Hood River, Oregon seeks artwork depicting the bounty of harvest, pastoral farmlands, equipment and tools, and artwork addressing environmental and social concerns related to agriculture. The exhibition will celebrate small-scale agriculture and rural farm life.

Eligibility: Any resident of the United States is eligible to apply. Artwork must be original in concept and executed by the artist within the last two years. Both 2D and 3D work of any medium are accepted. Artwork, including frames, shall not exceed 50 inches in either direction with a minimum image size of 2" x 3". 2-Dimensional artwork must be professionally framed, wired and ready for hanging. All submitted pieces must be for sale. No student work under supervision, work previously featured in the Columbia Gorge Region, or compositions taken from published material will be accepted.

Submission: Applicants must submit up to 5 digital images and an artist's statement through CaFÉ (www.callforentry.org) by April 1, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $25 (non-refundable if not accepted). A jury panel of regional art collectors, artists, and arts professionals will select a minimum of 30 pieces. Notification will be emailed April 8. Exhibition dates: May 7-30, 2010. Hand-delivered artwork must arrive by May 4 by 11am. Sales split: 60% to artist, 40% commission to Columbia Art Gallery. Unsold work must be picked up by June 2 or becomes property of the gallery.
