Arroscia Residency Italy Fall 2025

The Arroscia Residency is an artist-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation open to all emerging and mid-career artists working in painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, fiber art, photography, installations, and/or mixed media.

The residency award includes roundtrip flights from the closest airport of the artist's hometown to Europe and back (reimbursed upon arrival), paid housing for the duration of the residency, use of studio and exhibition space, an exhibition of work created during the residency, a dedicated page on the Residency website, and a stipend of €300 per week for art supplies and living expenses.

Applications must include a completed application form, $25 USD application fee, photocopy of identification (EU applicants) or valid passport (non-EU applicants), curriculum vitae (4 pages maximum), digital portfolio of 10 pieces, and two professional references. All documents should be typed in at least 12 point font, single-spaced, with at least 1/2" margins. Applications that are not complete by the deadline will not be considered. Jury dates are 4/6/25 - 5/5/25. The review process considers the applicant's artistic discipline, how the Arroscia Valley will inspire their work, standing in their career, ability to work independently in a small rural community, ability to represent the residency program, and ability to speak Italian, Spanish, and/or English.
