About This Call
The Arlington Festival of the Arts returns to the Clarendon neighborhood, located in the heart of Arlington's restaurant scene, nightlife and shopping. This DC suburb is just over the Key Bridge from Georgetown and attracts affluent professionals looking to decorate their homes and condos. The festival takes place outdoors on Washington Blvd from Clarendon Blvd to N. Garfield St and on N. Highland St from Washington Blvd to Clarendon Blvd. Crafters are encouraged to apply, as a separate craft section will be included in this year's event.
This competitive show is limited to the number of exhibitors accepted by a jury of highly qualified, talented, experienced artists. Applications are juried in order of date received, so early application is recommended as categories could meet maximum allotment causing closures. The event features 10x10 spaces (limited 10x20 available with approved double booth image) with show hours Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm. Public admission is free with parking available near the show site. Accepted mediums include clay, digital, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking/drawing, sculpture, wood, resin, and craft section.
Application requirements include 3 images of work, 1 image of 10x10 outdoor display with white canopy tent, biography or website, and a $35 non-refundable jury fee. The booth fee is $575. Artwork must be original, handcrafted, and directly created by the approved individual artist. The artist must be present throughout the event, and one medium only per booth is permitted. Howard Alan Events has over 40 years of experience producing juried street art festivals and has a reputation for bringing out high-end buying crowds.
