About This Call
The Mountain Artists Guild invites Arizona artists in all media to participate in the Arizona Treasures juried exhibition, celebrating the rich and diverse tapestry of Arizona. The exhibition is open to members and non-members and will be presented as both an online and in-gallery show.
The theme "Arizona Treasures" embraces all that makes Arizona extraordinary, including landscapes and natural beauty (Grand Canyon, Sedona's red rocks, Monument Valley, Saguaro cacti, Tonto National Forest, sunsets, monsoons, and starry skies), cultural heritage (Indigenous traditions, Mexican-American influences, and Old West history), and historic and urban Arizona (Route 66, downtown Prescott, Tucson's Barrio Viejo, Phoenix, Tempe, and Flagstaff). Artists are encouraged to explore realistic depictions, abstract interpretations, or anything in between inspired by the theme. All mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, and mixed media. All submissions must be original works of art.
Four categories are offered: Original Paintings, Photography, 3-Dimensional Objects, and Jewelry (100% handcrafted). Entry fees are $30 for the first 3 member submissions and $10 for additional submissions; non-members pay $45 for the first 3 submissions and $12 for additional submissions. Artists may submit up to 5 works. Members agree to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours during the exhibition period or pay a $40 buyout fee. All artwork must be delivered in person at gallery intake on Monday, January 12, 2026; no shipping is permitted except by prior arrangement with the Gallery Manager for members. The show runs January 14 through March 7, 2026. All accepted artwork must be priced for sale, with the Guild taking a 25% commission from members and 40% from non-members. Artwork accepted into previous 2024 Mountain Artists Guild shows is not eligible. Paintings and photographs must be a minimum of 80 square inches and maximum of 1728 square inches. Heavy 3-dimensional objects must be easily movable and standalone. Contact [email protected] or 928-445-2510 with questions.
