About This Call
This is a call to all Arizona Photography Alliance member photographers to participate in the eighth annual 2026 AZPA Members' Exhibition. The goal is to celebrate the broad range of photographic interests and talents within the membership, to advance photographic artistry in Arizona, and to provide opportunities for learning.
A new AI Image Category has been introduced this year as an experiment. Both the Traditional Photography and AI Imagery categories will be juried separately by Ken Rosenthal. Each category will receive: First Place – Juror's Award of Distinction and $200 cash prize; Second Place – Juror's Special Recognition Award and $150 cash prize; Third Place – Juror's Recognition Award and $100 cash prize. Winners will be notified prior to the Opening Reception and invited to present at the event on March 21, 2026. AZPA Board members may submit but are not permitted to receive awards.
All current AZPA members at any level are eligible. You do not need to be an Arizona resident. Each member photographer may submit one image with a frame size not to exceed 30 inches on the longest side. Traditional Photography includes all forms of traditional photography; photographic post-processing editing is not considered AI. AI Photographic Imagery may be fully AI-generated, AI-assisted, or Hybrid AI, but submissions must maintain a photographic sensibility. The photograph must be exhibition-ready, printed, matted, and framed to professional presentation standards, delivered ready-to-hang with wire securely attached. The exhibition will be on display at Artlink's mood room gallery at Park Central in midtown Phoenix from March 21 through April 3, 2026, with an Opening Reception on Saturday, March 21. All pieces submitted to the live exhibition will also be represented in an online exhibition. Artwork delivery deadline is Wednesday, March 17, 2026 by 6:00pm, either by shipping or in-person drop-off on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 3:00-7:00pm at mood room. Pick-up is Friday, April 3, 2026 from 9:00-10:00pm, with late pick-up on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 10:00am-1:00pm.
